Community Shadow Cabinet in Penrith

The true and famous quote "all politics is local" is why the NSW Liberals & Nationals spend time travelling around NSW listening and talking to local communities about our plan to make NSW number 1 again.
Since the start of the year the NSW Liberals & Nationals' Shadow Cabinet has visited Camden, Port Macquarie, Kiama and Penrith.
Last Wednesday, at the request of the Liberal Candidate for Penrith Stuart Ayres, the Shadow Cabinet visited Penrith again to follow on from our 2009 Community Shadow Cabinet.
It was encouraging to meet with over 100 people from the community and personally listen to them about the local issues that matter most.
Local issues raised included the need for safety improvements on Victoria Bridge; frontline vacancies and waiting lists at Nepean Hospital; train services; traffic congestion on the M4 on-off ramps; local roads; and ensuring green space is retained and protected as part of any urban development.
The NSW Liberals & Nationals are committed to bringing real change to Penrith and making NSW Number 1 Again.
